Dive master –instructor Michael McCombs will give you an unforgettable time
when he takes you on one of his snorkel-dive or kayak trips.
He has an incredible knowledge of coral, fish and other marine life
and is a very patient teacher for beginners and the more advanced.
We arranged different trips, but we can also make a more individual trip as been asked for.
All the trips are include:
- Water safety instruction
- Fish identification with waterproof fish identification cards
- Snorkels- and fins
- Bottled water
- Breakfast and/or snacks and/or lunch provided by Jolanda´s restaurant
By booking of one of the trips we do ask for a 20% not refundable down payment
Trip 1 snorkeling
From la Manzanilla beach to the rock formation, a nice and relaxing 2 hours trip for every age and condition the perfect moment to have your first experience with snorkeling and swimming in the sea .
Includes:
- lunch with 1 soda or beer at Jolanda´s restaurant
Minimum of 2 persons
Trip 2 Snorkeling and kayak
With the kayak from la Manzanilla beach to the
corner of Tamarindo resort where is a rock formation
with a small coral reef and a variety of marine live.
There are hardly any currents there
and that makes this area
suitable for experienced and not experienced snorkelers.
This trip will take more or less 3- 4 hours
Includes:
- Bottled water, juice and fruit at one off the
secluded beaches.
- Lunch with 1 soda or 1 beer at Jolanda´s restaurant
Minimum 2 persons
Trip 3 Playa Chamela
The most northern beach of Costalegre is a 45-minute drive from la Manzanilla.
There are 3 small cozy unspoiled beaches.
The first one is playa Chamela and lagoon, 6 small palapa restaurants at a nice stretch of white sand beach with in the back the lagoon.
From the beach you can see 3 of 9 islands from Chamela bay. This bay is nice for swimming; snorkeling, diving and when the surf is good even for surfing.
The second beach that is on walking distance just around the corner there are no restaurants
The third beach is called la Negrita and has one restaurant, a nice area to camp and a small cliff like beach to the open sea.
Include:
- 2 sessions of 45 minutes snorkeling
- Kayaks or pango
- Snorkel gear
- Pick nick basket with bottled water, juice and snacks
- Pick up at Boca de Iguana resort or at Jolanda´s restaurant
- Lunch with 1 soda or beer at Maria´s restaurant where in our opinion you can get the best real spicy camarones diabla
All 3 choices is a minimum of 2 persons and a not refundable down payment of 20%

Dive trips can be aranged for experienced divers.
Mike loves to take you out in the ocean and shows the beauty from the pacific ocean.
Or you can bring your own dive equipment or mike wil rent out his equipment

What to do, as parents, when both of you want to do a dive course or a snorkel trip and your kids are to young and- or to inexperienced to come with you
Or you are with your family on our beautiful beach and your kids are not familiar to swim in the salty sea with the waves who can be real impressive.
Michael McCombs and his wife Mary Anne are experienced swimming class teachers for adults and specialized In teaching children.
10 sessions of 1/2 hour U$100 or $1150 pesos
- Minimum of 4 kids maximum 6 kids
Private lessons U$ 35 or $450 pesos for1 hour
Family package U$ 600 or $7200 pesos
- Up to 6 persons
- 5 times a 1 hour session
